Our Heritage

Nearly Five Decades of Manufacturing Excellence

From a single paper-making machine in 1975 to one of the world's largest tissue manufacturers — the NTPM story is one of consistent growth, innovation, and commitment to quality.

1975

Founded in Nibong Tebal, Penang, Malaysia by Mr. Lee See Jin. Operations begin under the NTPM banner.

1979

Commercial production begins with the first paper-making machine imported from Taiwan, producing jumbo rolls from recycled wastepaper.

1983-1986

Sales exceed RM 10 million. Operations expand to Singapore with new machine facilities acquired to extend production capacity.

1996

NTPM Holdings Berhad listed on Bursa Malaysia (MYX: 5066). Distribution network established across Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak, and Sabah.

2000s

Expansion into personal care products. Launch of Royal Gold, Intimate, and Diapex brands. Manufacturing plants grow to five facilities across Malaysia and Vietnam.

Present

NTPM Australia established to serve the Australian B2B market with Royal Gold Corporate and CONV product ranges. Over 3,500 employees globally.

State-of-the-Art Production Facilities

The NTPM Group operates five manufacturing plants - two in Parit Buntar, two in Nibong Tebal, and one in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam. Together they produce over 100 types of tissue paper with a combined daily capacity of 250 tonnes.

Our facilities include integrated de-inking mills for recycled tissue production, high-temperature sterilisation systems, and advanced converting lines for napkins, hand towels, and specialty products.
